Hot Toys : Suit Up Gantry with Iron Man Mark IV Review (Part 2)

Initially I thought it was complicated but no...fixing the gantry was a breeze. Every parts are molded, sculpted and painted in minute detail. It is so amazing that it just blows you away !!

As for the Mark IV figure ... what can i say ...... from the top to toe it is simply marvelous ! I remember reading somewhere which states that the Mark IV that comes with the suit up gantry has a different paint application (supposedly better?) compared with the earlier version that comes with the donut. As to how much better in terms of paint durability I am in no position to comment but it had better not fade into pink like some collectors are facing right now on their first release version. Otherwise I will be pissed big time !!

The Suit Up Gantry with Mark IV is certainly a joy to look at. If you have a chance, go get this bugger because it is really worth it (in my humble opinion-especially if you have not owned any of the Hot Toys Iron Man figure before).....but it will put a little hole in your piggy bank. It sure did on mine and at the same time made my wife's jaw drop literally !! I am pretty sure she did that out of admiration and not about the price !! hahaha...

Anyway, here comes the best part....

Yes...it does come with this !!! Just like in the movie !!

The wait is finally over. After so many moons, I finally got to lay my hands on this latest masterpiece by Hot Toys. The box is amazingly huge and heavy !! Words cannot describe the feeling of owning one of these buggers!! It is simply just pure ecstasy !

Inside that gigantic box consist of 2 smaller box and each loaded with loads of goodies. One consist of the Mark IV figure & his robot cum fire extinguisher side kick and the other consist of all the accessories needed to built up the Suit Up Gantry.

Frankly I was never a box lover....but boy oh boy..... the box is a beauty by itself ! No wonder it cost a bomb!! This is by far the most expensive and largest son-of-a-gun that I have ever owned.

Starting from the opening of box, removing the cover and up till present moment has filled my heart with "Ohhh Ahhhh and Wahhh!!" All that is left now is to fix everything up.............so hold your breath...... more ohh and ahh coming..... (Part 2)

The details on this figure is just excellent !! Absolute no regret in getting this masterpiece.

One nit pick that I would like to point out though is the left knee joint which tends to pop off easily whenever I try to fiddle with it. Other than that this figure is simply amazing !!

When I showed it to my wife for the first time...she was like... "WOWeeee....this thing is metal ??"
IF ONLY......I murmured to myself. But yeah...even though it feels like plastic it sure doesn't look like one !! It only proves the paint job on this bugger is top notch !!

You know...you can just stare at this figure forever....if you know what I mean !!

Hot Toys Iron Man Mark II - Armor Unleashed Version !!! (PART 1)

Just when I thought Iron Man Mark IV (with Suit-Up Gantry) would be my first Hot Toys purchase, I actually got Mark II (Armor Unleashed) instead !!

Seriously I wasn't even (not even a wee bit) interested in getting the Mark II initially as it was an easy pass for me when local toy store was putting it up for pre-order. I was thinking .."what the hell do i need another iron man figure when i already pre-ordered a mark iv with suit up gantry?"

What appeared as a I-DON'T-WANT kind of thing soon evolve into a FRANTIC-DESPERATE-I-MUST HAVE-OR-I-WILL-DIE kind of situation !!
(...as usual it normally starts with an INNOCENT look on youtube review and that is when the poison starts kicking in... with immediate effect!! )

I hurriedly checked all local toy store for it and DAMNED... it is either those stock were for pre-order customer OR the prices were sky high. I was totally devastated.

Just when all hopes were lost....then came the AVENGERS....err.....nope I mean HLJ !! They came to my rescue when they sent an email with a catchy line......"They came beyond Japan"...

and the rest as they say is history.....suffice to say the price I purchased was slightly cheaper than local pre-order price level. (wuahahaha)

Looks like I better stop here and let the pictures do the TALKING !!
